We are configuring one of our sites to test/use the content sync as it was updated in the 31.8.0 release. During a dev to stg test, the first attempt to sync a page took an extreme amount of time (50 min) to complete a single page sync. Content hub items synced within a few seconds. Some pages afterward were quick, but the home page sync triggered a second sync also took another 50 min to complete with setting all pages in the tree to draft again.
The single page sync set the majority of the tree items into draft mode while running, during the restoration process, there were several toasts that stated gateway timeouts. During subsequent page syncs we received several Failed notifications.
Checking the CMS_Synchronization table for the sync revealed the SynchronizationResult as:
