Multi-select field form component

Are there any form components for multiple selections or does that have to be created manually?

Yes, the General Selector UI Form Component supports multi-select - see the Kentico Community Portal.

Thanks, but I was hoping for one that I could use in the page type fields to select multiple checkboxes or something similar.
