"Open preview in new tab" feature question

This new "Open preview in new tab" feature would be quite a handy way for our editors to share un-published pages between themselves while they are working/reviewing stuff. We are getting a 500 error though when trying to open another editor's preview link which makes me think it's a feature meant to preview your own work only on a new tab sans the admin ui?

Steps to reproduce: In the admin, generate a "Preview in new tab" link and send it to another editor in the same system or try opening it with another browser logged in with a different user.

Correct - it currently is only for viewing while logged in as the user that created it. See this blog post which confirms this.
